6 reviews for The Overseas Fabulous Pinay: A modern Filipina’s handbook on how to thrive abroad (ebook)

  1. Demee Koch, Founder/CEO of DE MOI Switzerland, Global FWN 100 Most Influential Filipina in the World 2019

Overseas Fabulous Pinay means being resilient, fierce, kind, and having the skills to tackle challenges in style! If you are a Filipina expat or you are planning to work abroad, this book is the ultimate guide to help equip you to life abroad. The author Donna Avellana Künzler lived in multiple countries and is a well traveled Corporate Executive. This book is her way of giving back to her fellow pinays.

  2. Lily C. Fen, Writer & Editor, MAM 2019 Awardee (Migration Advocacy and Media Awards) for Bending without Breaking

There are two things I appreciate about The Overseas Fabulous Pinay. Firstly, Künzler’s voice is cheeky and humorous. Her words made me feel as if I were out for cocktails with a girlfriend, who was regaling me about her tips and tricks for living the best Filipina expat life. Secondly, Künzler shares many practical tips that made me wish I had encountered this book years ago, when I was about to begin my Filipina expat journey myself.

  3. Pamela Gotangco, Maryang Pinay, Visual Artist, Global FWN 100 Most Influential Filipina 2018, Outstanding Migrant, Artist of the year 2019, Federfil Europe, Woman Leadership Award- World CSR Day and World Sustainability 2018

I strongly believe that we Filipinos must look out for each other where ever in the world our career takes us. By doing so, we help each other succeed and eventually contribute to building a better Philippines. This is exactly what the book The Overseas Fabulous Pinay is all about.

I am so proud of Donna for taking the initiative to write a book that will benefit Filipina women in their transition to working abroad. Donna has been a consultant for big international firms for many years, and the initiative to write the book is a clear example of “paying forward”.

  4. Kyra Luthi, Entrepreneur and Humanitarian

This book is such an amazing help not just for Filipinas but for anyone who’s going to live in a different country over the world. Although the description describes the way of writing as lighthearted, it also serves a solid reflection of reality. It is never easy to be an expat – wherever you’re from. Whatever your background is, every country is different from each other and Donna spoke about all the specific points that anyone must do and remember to be able integrate into the new culture and society. Simply and excellently explained! I love how realistic and practical it is. Those self-help questions are such good guides to evaluate anyone’s living status wherever you are in the world. But even as an experienced expat, you will learn more as you read every new chapter. Thank you for this wonderful book, Donna. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and wisdom!

    A letter to the Author’s daughter…

    Magandang Araw Tala,

Galing niya no?!

Alam mo yung pinakang gusto kong parte? Yung “Dedication”.
